KYC and Verification Process

Sliqd Limited | Company No. 17219406 | May 2026

1. Legal Basis

The Sliqd Platform contains adult content. Access is restricted to individuals aged 18 or over. Age verification is mandatory in compliance with the Online Safety Act 2023 and associated Ofcom codes of practice.

2. Verification Requirement

All users must complete age verification before accessing any content on the Platform. For buyers, age verification may be completed via any approved method. For sellers and content providers, government-issued document verification is mandatory and no alternative method is accepted. A seller or content provider account cannot be activated until document verification is successfully completed.

3. Verification Method

Primary method: Document verification (mandatory for all sellers and content providers)

  • User submits a government-issued photo ID (passport, driving licence, or national identity card)
  • User submits a live selfie for liveness detection and facial comparison
  • Verification is processed by Yoti, our certified third-party age verification provider
  • Result is returned as pass/fail - the minimum data required to confirm age 18+

Yoti is Sliqd's sole age verification provider. No secondary or alternative age verification methods are offered.

Buyers must complete Yoti age verification (18+ confirmed) before accessing any content on the Platform. Sellers and Creators must complete Yoti document verification (government-issued ID and selfie liveness check) as part of the seller onboarding process. Age verification is mandatory for all users without exception.

4. Data Minimisation

We apply strict data minimisation principles to age verification:

  • We collect only the data necessary to confirm that a user is aged 18 or over
  • Age verification data is not used for profiling, marketing, or any purpose other than age compliance
  • Where technically feasible, age verification is processed by Yoti without Sliqd receiving the underlying identity documents

5. Re-Verification

Sliqd reserves the right to require re-verification at any time, including:

  • Where there are grounds to suspect a user may be under 18
  • Following a complaint or report relating to a user's age
  • As part of periodic compliance audits
  • Where required by Ofcom or another regulatory body

6. Failed Verification

Where a user fails age verification at the point of registration, access to the Platform is denied and no account is created. Sliqd does not create, hold, or activate accounts for users who have not successfully passed age verification.

Where a seller fails document verification, their seller application is rejected and they will not be activated as a Creator on the Platform. They may reapply with a different government-issued document.

Where Sliqd has reasonable grounds to believe a user who has already been granted access is under 18, their account will be immediately and permanently closed and the matter referred to relevant authorities where required.

7. Circumvention

Attempting to circumvent age verification (including by using false documents, impersonating another person, or using a VPN or proxy to manipulate location-based restrictions) is a serious breach of our Terms and Conditions, may constitute a criminal offence, and will result in permanent account termination.

8. Retention of Verification Records

Records confirming that a user has passed age verification are retained for the duration of the account and for 7 years following account closure, in compliance with our obligations under the Online Safety Act 2023.
